God Loves You
You were created on purpose, for a purpose. God designed you to know Him and walk with Him in relationship. Yeah, really.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son…" — John 3:16
We Are Separated
Sin entered the world and separated us from God. We've all sinned. No matter how big or small that sin was or is, we can't bridge that gap between God and ourselves on our own. Not even by being a good person or doing good things.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." — Romans 3:23
Jesus Made a Way
God demands perfection. Uhh, are you perfect? Me either. That's where Jesus comes in. He lived a sinless life, became the perfect sacrifice that God demands, and died in our place. Then he came back to life. Yep, He's even still alive today.
"But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." — Romans 5:8
Receive Him
Believing in Jesus and confessing Him as the Lord of your life is how we become children of God. It's a gift — free, undeserved, and life-changing. And it's all through faith. Believing that God made this way for you to actually have a relationship with Himself — the creator of the universe — through Jesus.
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." — Romans 10:9
A Simple Prayer
Talk to Jesus
Praying = Talking to God.
If you're ready to begin a relationship with the one who created you, you can pray something like this:
"Jesus, thank You for loving me. Thank You for dying for me, and raising from the dead, so that I can have a real relationship with You. I turn from my sin right now and trust You to forgive me for all the things I've ever done. Be the Lord of my life. I want to know You, I want to talk with You and hear You talk to me, and I want to follow You the rest of my life. I love You, Jesus. Amen."
